In 2020, I helped a local wine production company launch its first bottle of wine, Cincinno. They asked for my help in order to bring to life the label for their product through an illustration.
The goal was to deliver a concept that could convey the story of the company and the contest in which this first bottle was produced.
My Contributions
After a few meetings with Alessandro, the manager of the company, I made a few sketches to discuss the general direction and, after approval, I illustrated the label. I then designed the layout and delivered final assets using Photoshop.
Things I learned
Cincinno
Oct 2020 – Nov 2020
I chose this project for my portfolio since it has been my first real approach to digital illustration.
I learned a few Photoshop tricks with brushes, masks and printing material layouts. Specifically, I learned how to manage complex illustration creation and its stages: from starting sketches, to a black and white version, to adding lights and shadows and finally using color combinations to bring the subject to life.
